🔵 Netanyahu-Trump Talks Focus on Hostage Release Amid Gaza Conflict

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that recent discussions with former U.S. President Donald Trump were centered on the critical issue of securing the release of hostages held by Hamas. In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) by his office on Wednesday, Netanyahu emphasized that the top priority remains bringing back the Israeli hostages safely.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza continues to escalate, with Israel maintaining its firm stance that military operations will persist until Hamas' operational and governing capabilities are completely dismantled. Netanyahu reiterated that the war will not stop until Hamas is neutralized both militarily and politically. According to him, this is the only path to ensuring long-term peace and security for Israel’s southern communities.

The Israeli leader stated that as long as Hamas remains in control of Gaza, it will continue to pose a direct threat to Israel. The government's strategy involves sustained military pressure combined with international diplomacy to weaken Hamas and secure the return of hostages.

The talks with Trump, although unofficial in nature, signal Netanyahu's intention to keep global political allies engaged in the crisis. Trump has historically been a strong supporter of Israel, and Netanyahu’s outreach to him could be seen as a strategic move to strengthen international backing.

As the humanitarian toll in Gaza rises and international calls for a ceasefire grow louder, Netanyahu’s remarks make it clear: for Israel, ending the conflict without achieving its core military objectives is not an option.
